Poker Chip Tricks Back To Front
|
Chip Bounce Chip Trick
The chip bounce is a fairly simple poker chip trick to master. Performing it consistently is the hard part. Successfully pulling off the chip bounce depends upon the weight and material of the chips you're going to use, and what material the table surface is made of. Using softer chips is generally better when doing the chip bounce. Try to find a soft surface like a felt gaming table to perform this trick on. It should make learning the trick much easier.
Start by holding a single chip between your thumb and index fingers as shown in the picture above. Tilt the chip inwards slightly, pointing towards the stack. The precise angle required will depend on how high you hold the chip above the stack, the weight of the poker chip, and the surface type you're dropping the chip onto. For now tilt the chip slightly towards the stack and adjust further adjust the angle as you get a feel for the chip trick.
Drop the chip on the table so that it lands an inch or a bit more from the stack of poker chips. The chip should land on it's edge at a slight angle, leaning towards the stack. This will hopefully cause the chip to bounce up and onto the stack of chips. At least that's the goal. In practice, it takes a lot of tries before you first nail it. But compared to some of the other chip tricks out there like the butterfly, this one shouldn't give you that much trouble.
